Choose a reading target you can recognize.
Pick one clear action: read for ten minutes, read five pages, or read a short chapter. Use a target that works with the kinds of books you enjoy. You do not have to track every reading metric to build a useful routine.
In Revebit, create a habit named “Read for ten minutes.” Set one daily completion if you want to record a single reading session. If you prefer two short sessions, use a daily target of two and make each session’s meaning clear in the habit name.
Give reading a place in your day.
Choose an existing moment: after your morning coffee, when you finish lunch, or before you turn off the bedside lamp. Leave your book where that moment happens. If a reminder would help, choose a time when you are likely to be able to read.
Your plan can stay simple: “After I make my evening tea, I will read for ten minutes in the armchair.” Keep the book within reach so getting started is the next obvious action.
Pick a picture to return to.
A quiet library, a favorite trip, or your own reading corner can become the image you reveal. Choose a streak goal as a personal milestone. As you complete your daily target, more of the picture appears.
The large photo puzzle widget is available with Revebit Pro. Other progress views help you see the reading days you have recorded.
Try a simple first week.
| Moment | Your small action | What to record |
|---|---|---|
| After evening tea | Read for ten minutes | One daily completion |
| A busy day | Review whether your target still fits | Log only what you actually complete |
| End of the week | Look at your reading days | Adjust the target or reminder if needed |
This is an example, not a required schedule. See the daily reading guide for a fuller plan or start on paper with our free habit tracker template.
